Who we are

Pivemon runs this website and the coffee bar at 171 Queen Street, Brisbane City QLD 4000, Australia. When you email us, book a barista class or ask for a catering quote, you are dealing with Pivemon directly, and we are the ones responsible for the personal information you hand over. What we collect

We only ask for what the job needs. A catering quote needs a venue address and a phone number. A barista class booking does not need your home address, and we will not ask for it.

• Your name and contact details from an enquiry form
• Booking details such as date, guest numbers and venue address
• Your email address if you tick the newsletter box
• A payment reference from card payments, never the full card number
• Any message you send us by email or through the site
• Basic technical data such as browser type, device and pages viewed

How we use it

Your details go toward answering your enquiry, holding a date, running the class or event, sending an invoice and keeping the records the tax office expects. If you ticked the newsletter box, we use your email to send occasional news about new blends and class dates. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link that works the first time you click it.

We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to mailing list brokers. Nobody at Pivemon sits around reading booking forms for fun; access is limited to the staff who need it to do the work.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets a small number of cookies. One remembers whether you accepted or declined the cookie notice, so the banner does not reappear on every page. Others help the site load quickly and show us which pages people actually read. The full list sits in our Cookie Policy, linked from the footer of every page.

Who we share it with, and for how long

We share information only where it does a job: our booking system provider, the email service that sends confirmations, and our accountant at the end of the financial year. Each of them works under a contract that limits what they can do with the data. Records sit on servers we can manage, and we keep booking and invoice records for seven years because Australian tax law asks for it. Enquiry emails that never turn into a booking are deleted after two years.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, and under the GDPR for visitors in the European Union, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have mistakes corrected, or have it deleted where we are not required to keep it.

• Withdraw consent for marketing with one click or one email
• Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if we get it wrong

We answer data requests within 30 days. Visitors in the EU also have the right to contact their local supervisory authority, and we will cooperate with any lawful request that comes through that route.
